About Udawalawe
Udawalawe National Park is famous for its large population of wild elephants. Located in the southern part of Sri Lanka, this park is home to around 600 elephants and offers almost guaranteed sightings. The nearby Elephant Transit Home rehabilitates orphaned baby elephants before releasing them into the wild. The park also has water buffalo, wild boar, crocodiles, and many bird species.
