About Yala National Park

Yala National Park is Sri Lanka's most visited wildlife park, famous for having one of the highest leopard densities in the world. Located in the southeast region, Yala covers nearly 1,000 square kilometers of scrubland, forests, and coastal lagoons. Besides leopards, the park is home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, wild boar, deer, and over 200 bird species.
